About Rustic Designs

Rustic Designs Custom Metal Works is a Fort Collins Colorado based company. The company is locally ran and operated by Russell Prach. Russell was born and raised in Fort Collins, Colorado. His shop is located just east of Fort Collins, where there is a beautiful view of the Front Range.
Russell's whole life have been spent around metal, mostly because his parents own a heating and air conditioning company. By the time Russell turned 13, he was working with his father in all his spare time and getting "hands on experience," as his dad would say, but Russell knew it was free labor for his dad. Either way, Russell loved working with his hands, working on furnaces was good knowledge for Russell, but building the metal to fit the new furnace from the old one was what he loved doing most.

During the summer time in Colorado it's always slow for a heating and air shop. While there is no work to do, Russell would keep busy by building metal art for around his parent's house and the shop. People liked Russell's metal pieces so much that before he knew it, he was building business signs, name tags, marine memorabilia, gates, heat registers, and the list goes on. That's when Russell decided to open up his own custom metal workshop and do what he loves for a living.
After finishing welding school, Russell moved to Las Vegas, Nevada for about a year to help his brothers in their heating business. Russell then traveled across the country doing seminars with the heating/air business, specializing in metal construction. Russell realized working in metal design is his true passion. It doesn’t matter where he goes, he is always looking for some way to improve the look of a house, a sign, or something as small as a picture frame with some sort of metal. There is no metal project too big or too small for Russell to tackle. He can do anything, and he loves a challenge. Don’t be afraid to call him with ideas that you may have, because if it has to do with metal you can count on Russell building it just the way you want it!
